Woman’s high risk unit consists of 24 rooms where our nursing staff is specially trained to care for people with problems related to pregnancy. Located on the 3rd floor in pods 2A and 2B, we provide condition-specific care and intensive monitoring for you and your baby.
Each high-risk patient room is equipped with a bed, table and chairs, sleeper sofa, television and phone for convenience and comfort during your stay.
High-Risk Pregnancy (Antepartum)
In our Antepartum suites, our nurses care for people on bed rest with high blood pressure, preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes and other problems that sometimes occur with pregnancy.
High-Risk Postpartum (After Pregnancy)
After having a baby some people require more frequent monitoring and interventions. It could be because you have severe hypertension, sepsis or postpartum hemorrhage not requiring critical care. This unit is also a quiet space for women experiencing a miscarriage.

We know you’d rather spend this time at home, so we strive to provide a home-like atmosphere. The unit includes a resource and education center, a kitchenette as well as a washer and dryer. We are also able to perform non-stress testing and contraction stress testing on the unit as needed.
