Woman's Hospital Named One of America’s Best In-State Employers by Forbes

BATON ROUGE, La. - Woman’s Hospital has been named one of America’s Best In-State Employers 2024 by Forbes. Woman’s is among a select group of Louisiana organizations to receive this award out of 1,294 total recipients.

“It is truly humbling to once again be recognized as one of America’s Best In-State Employers by Forbes,” said Rene Ragas, president and CEO of Woman’s Hospital. “We are fortunate to have team members who put in the hard work and use their talent and commitment to provide exceptional service to our patients every single day. Their contributions are vital to advancing our mission of improving the lives of women and infants.”

Forbes’ America's Best-In-State Employers 2024 ranking is based on an independent survey of over 160,000 employees who work for companies across all industry sectors. Qualifying companies must have over 500 employees and be located in the United States.

Approximately 4.4 million employer evaluations were analyzed. The final score was determined on a state-by-state basis and based on two types of employee evaluations:

  • Personal Evaluations: Employees' willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family.
  • Public Evaluations: Recommendations from friends and family members of employees, or members of the public who work in the same industry.

Woman’s is a specialty hospital for women and infants located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since opening in 1968, it has welcomed more than 375,000 babies, making it one of the largest delivery services in the country and the largest in Louisiana.
