Setting up proxy access in MyChart
What is proxy access?
Proxy access allows you access to view and manage someone else's medical records within your MyChart account or shares access to your account with someone else.
Parent of Child
- For children born at Woman's Hospital after February 1, 2024, parents will automatically receive proxy access to their child's MyChart account at time of birth.
- If your child was not born at Woman's Hospital or is under 12 years of age, request access at your next appointment or call the MyChart Patient Support Line at (225) 215-7245.
- Parents will have full access to their minor child's MyChart until their 12th birthday at which point their access is removed.
- Minors above the age of 12 can signup for their own MyChart account.
Adult Accessing an Adult's Medical Record
- You must be at least 18 years old to have proxy access to another person's medical record.
- The proxy will need a Woman's MyChart account.
- Access can be setup through the Sharing Hub in the MyChart Menu.
New to MyChart?
If you are requesting proxy access to a child's MyChart account, you will need to create your own MyChart account at Woman's. Signing up is quick and easy.
