Woman’s Hospital Welcomes 25 Leap Day Babies
Woman’s Hospital has welcomed 25 Leap Day babies born on February 29. The special deliveries join about 5 million people around the world who were born on Leap Day, representing only about .07% of the world population.
Since 1996, 162 Leap Day babies have been delivered at Woman’s. The hospital commemorated the special day by gifting custom-made leapfrog onesies to all Leap Day babies.

Woman’s is a specialty hospital for women and infants located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since opening in 1968, it has welcomed more than 375,000 babies, making it one of the largest delivery services in the country and the largest in Louisiana.
