Woman's Diabetes Center partners with individuals across all age groups to manage diabetes effectively. Our certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians offer vital self-care skills through our Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program. Woman's Diabetic Center is located on the third floor of Woman's Hospital, inside Entrance 4.
The education services at Woman's Diabetic Center are certified by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) as a Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program. It provides children, adolescents and adults (both men and women) with access to comprehensive educational and supportive services provided by:
- Diabetes educators, including a certified diabetic educator
- Registered dietitians
- If you or someone you love is at risk, our Diabetes Prevention Program is for you!
As part of our DSME program, patients will be taught self-care skills that are essential to diabetes management. Through appropriate self-management, unnecessary hospital admissions and some of the acute and chronic complications of diabetes can be prevented.
