Dr. Sarah Drennan is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who provides personalized and compassionate care for women of all ages. Dr. Drennan is committed to providing the highest clinical quality excellence, and to establishing a care partnership with her patients for a lifetime of care.

She is passionate about personalized care based upon her patient’s individual needs and expectations, within the context of evidence-based medicine and the standard of care for the highest and best outcome. Dr. Drennan’s experience and expertise encompasses the comprehensive spectrum of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is passionate about developing a care partnership with women to be there for them, and with them, through all the seasons of their life from adolescence through menopause for their potential Obstetrical and Gynecological healthcare.

Dr. Drennan provides comprehensive Obstetrical and Gynecological care, including routine wellness exams, contraception and family planning, maternity and post-partum care, as well as both medical and surgical solutions as appropriate for common gynecological issues such as intimate wellness, endometriosis, fibroids and bladder issues. Healthy pregnancies and a positive childbirth experience, personalized for each woman’s preferences and unique health needs, are a cornerstone of her service to women in our community. She encourages annual wellness exams for pelvic and breast health, including the early detection of breast cancer, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer. Dr. Drennan’s surgical expertise includes minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, as well as innovate treatment options, including advanced laparoscopy surgery, radiofrequency based thermal ablation of fibroids, and robotic surgery to reduce recovery time and yield the best outcome.

Following her studies at Tulane in New Orleans where she earned a Neuroscience degree, she obtained her medical degree from the University of South Carolina, and then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, where she served Chief Administrative Resident. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a member of the South Central OB/GYN Society.

Dr. Drennan values all things related to motherhood and life here in Baton Rouge. When not with patients or on call for her physician colleagues with Louisiana Women’s Healthcare, she can often be found with her husband cheering on their daughter and son at sporting events (both children are avid, competitive swimmers). Her family enjoys spending time together trying new restaurants, attending sporting events, travelling and anything outdoors.
