High-Risk Transport

We will get you and your precious cargo here safely.

When emergencies arise, high-risk mothers and infants throughout the region can be transported to Woman's for the best possible care. As a Level III Regional Referral Center, maternal-fetal and neonatal physicians and anesthesiologists are available 24 hours a day.

Our transport team averages a combined 10 years of experience in the care of high-risk mothers and infants, and serves as a life link to those in the southeast region who need specialized care.

The neonatal transport team includes neonatal nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists or registered nurses. The maternal-fetal transport team includes registered labor and delivery nurses, and respiratory therapists (specializing in both adult and neonatal care).

What is NICU Transport?

Woman's Hospital neonatologist Dr. Steven Spedale discusses what a NICU transport is and what transporting a sick infant involves.
