Woman's Hospital Earns Birth Ready+ for Third Consecutive Year

Woman’s Hospital has earned Birth Ready+ Designation from the Louisiana Perinatal Quality Collaborative (LaPQC) for the third consecutive year. The Birth Ready+ Designation ensures birthing facilities are implementing evidence-based best practices to improve maternal health and outcomes for women and infants. 

“Woman’s mission is to improve the health of women and infants. Earning this designation for the third straight year demonstrates how our dedicated team lives our mission every day by providing safe and equitable care to all patients,” says Amye Reeves, director of obstetrical services at Woman’s Hospital.

Through its work with LaPQC, Woman’s has adopted evidence-based practices and standards including ongoing risk assessments for hemorrhage, timely treatment of hypertension, health equity training and more.
