Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular spa enthusiast, you'll find answers to common queries and helpful information to enhance your spa journey.

General Spa FAQs

    Located within Woman's Center for Wellness, Woman’s Spa Services caters to both women and men, and you don't have to be a fitness member to enjoy our services. You may enter the Jefferson Highway entrance (the front entrance on lower level), which is the same doors used for fitness, membership, conference room, and Clean store.

    Rescheduling or cancellation of appointments requires 24 hour notification. Cancellations with less than 24-hour notice or no shows will result in a charge of 50% of the scheduled service.


    Massages

      This will be up to you. Please know that during all treatments you will be draped with towels and only areas being directly worked on will be uncovered. Our therapists are trained professionals who have your comfort and well-being in mind at all times.

      You will be asked to fill out a massage intake form, listing any illnesses, allergies and injuries that you might have. Your therapist will discuss this with you before beginning your treatment. If you have suffered a recent injury, we ask that you consult a doctor or other health care professional before having a massage.

      Absolutely! This is your treatment and we want to ensure that it is centered on you and your comfort. Please communicate with the staff regarding any discomfort you might be feeling as well as room temperature, sounds, smells, etc.

      All of the therapists are licensed and have met all state and local requirements. You can rest assure that your treatment is being performed by a highly trained therapist.

      Yes, massages are available for pregnant women past their first trimester. This is an enjoyable way to relax and ease tension created by your ever-changing body.

      Yes, products are available for purchase at Woman's Center for Wellness.


      Waxes

        Yes! If you are using any topical medications such as Retin-A, Differin, etc., you should discontinue use seven days before your wax. If you are using Accutane, we recommend waiting six months AFTER stopping your medication.

         

        Generally three to four weeks

         

        The dead skin cells are removed to reveal incredibly smooth skin. The waxing may cause the skin to sting and if so, a soothing cream may be applied. You may experience redness or bumps that generally disappear in a couple of hours.

         

        The Brazilian removes hair from the entire area. The Specialty leaves a strip in the center and the Basic will follow the bikini line.

         


        Facials and Skin Treatments

          A facial will cleanse and brighten your face. Regular facials will nourish your skin leaving you with a fresh, clean, young, glowing appearance.

           

          The best results are achieved when facials are scheduled every four to six weeks. That is the amount of time it takes your skin to regenerate.

           

          A chemical peel reveals smoother and brighter looking skin. Additional benefits include: smoothing of fine lines, help with dry skin, aid in the control of acne and help to even out pigmentation.

           

          We recommend once a week for six weeks.

           

          Yes! If you are using any type of topical medications such as Retin-A, Differin, Renova, etc., you should discontinue use seven days before your peel. If you are using Accutane, it is best to consult with you doctor before having a peel.
