Expert Staff

Maternal-Fetal medicine specialists staff the center. These include doctors with additional, specialized training and experience in the care of high-risk mothers and their unborn babies; the only board-certified geneticist in Baton Rouge; registered nurses; certified sonographers (people trained to perform ultrasound tests); and support personnel. All are dedicated to the highest standards of care.

Specialized Services

Perinatal Consultation, Treatment and Management

For women with complications such as:

• Diabetes
• High blood pressure
• Preterm labor (labor that starts before it is supposed to)
• Breech position of baby
• Being pregnant with twins, triplets or more (this is called “multiple births”)
• Baby is too small (this is called intrauterine growth restriction or “IUGR”)
